Lauren’s single life is steady and enjoyable—great friends, a good job, and a cozy flat in south-east London. That changes when she returns home one night to find a stranger in her apartment. His name is Michael, and according to her friends and the photos on her walls, he’s her husband. Before she can process this, Michael disappears into the attic, and another man emerges, along with a slightly altered version of her life. Lauren discovers her attic can provide endless iterations of partners and realities.
